Calls for Death to Americans at US Embassy in South Africa! SA Communist Party chant ‘One American, One Bullet’ outside US embassy in Pretoria
A threat of “one bullet, one American” was chanted outside the US embassy in Pretoria on Thursday, where hundreds of protesters gathered to protest against the US foreign policy in the Middle East.
“The Americans are the biggest terrorists in the world. They are responsible for terrorism in Cuba, Venezuela and many other countries in South America. Now they have decided the Middle East is their base. Our message is that there is no home for you, otherwise you will go home in chests. Soon you will hear the slogan ‘one bullet, one American’, “said Shuaib Booley, chairman of the Ahlul Bayt Islamic Council of South Africa, with loud cheers from the crowd.
Booley led the crowd in cries of “Allahu akbar” (God is great) while embassy workers watched the demonstration from a distance. Officials later stopped Booley before he could enter the building as part of a delegation that would hand over a memorandum.
Also present at the demonstration was the SACP secretary general, Solly Mapaila, who said the party and its alliance partners were going to take part in protests against so-called US interference in the region.
“The whole alliance movement is going to host a series of performances here at the US Embassy [in Pretoria] and at their offices in Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg.
“We will continue with the action until the US withdraws from the Middle East. He must withdraw all his power, ”Mapaila said.
Police were closely watching the situation while the crowd, consisting of members of the SACP, ANC and others, held the US Pres. Donald Trump has criticized Iranian general Kassem Soleimani for killing. Soleimani died earlier this month in a US drone attack in Iraq.
“The US government needs to know we are unhappy with its destabilization of countries worldwide,” Mapaila said.
“We oppose American imperialism. We oppose American aggression. We are in favor of humanity and that everyone should live in peace. We say no to war, no to attacks, no to sanctions against democratic states, including the Islamic State of Iran. ”
Clever Banganayi, deputy secretary general of the Friends of Cuba Association, also said the US should withdraw its army from the Middle East.
“The US has imposed so many sanctions on the people of Iran to wreak havoc in the country. They are looking for oil [from Iran]. These are not the first countries to which they do so. They did it in Latin America, Venezuela and Bolivia, ”Banganayi said.
Imam Seyyed Abdollah Hoseyni of the Islamic Center for Africa also delivered his organization’s message and led the crowd with cries of “death for America”.
“Soon you will leave the Middle East and we will celebrate our victory. The situation is going to be worse than it is now. Take your stuff and go, or we’re going to send you home in chests. You killed Soleimani, “Hoseyni said
