#FARMMURDER: Farmer Foreman (61) Shot Dead On Farm In Ellisras

Jasper von Kleist (61) was shot dead by thugs on the farm Dale in the Tom Burke area – Ellisras last night.  He was the farm foreman.

According to information received from members of the Heritage Protection Group (HPG) who was at the scene of the attack,  Charlie Solomon (son of the owner of the farm, Nico Solomon), was having a meal with his father and he was on his way back to his house just a short distance away.

When arriving home, he called his dog who was very restless. The next moment four thugs appeared and started shooting at him. He ran and was shot in his thigh/buttocks.

According to HPG, the thugs followed him and continued shooting at him until he reached the sliding door.

The thugs then went to Jasper’s house where he was shot dead. His girlfriend, Sonja Joubert, was wounded in the arm and tied up but was assisted by helpers who arrived at the scene and was taken by ambulance to Mediclinic – Lephalale.

She has since been discharged from the hospital. Nico Solomon and his girlfriend Amanda Joubert are both unharmed.

Thus far, it has been established that only mobile phones are missing and the motive for the attack is unknown.

To date, no arrests have been made. Police are investigating
